We understand, the claims that we (and others) make about Kangen Water® sound amazing, too good to be true. And we believe that following every social fad and diet advice can be hugely damaging to your health.

 

We want you to make an educated decision to choose Kangen Water®.

 

So, collected from those we’ve spoken to as well as conversations in the media and across the web, here are the main objections we hear and how we answer them.

Skeptic Quote:  There is no such thing as microclustered water.  The six molecule cluster is made up, doesn’t exist. “Such hexagonal arrangements in water have never been observed or plausibly theorized, and thus there is no way that it could have ever been established that such water is better absorbed by your body — since it doesn’t exist.”

 

Educated Truth: Please go to http://www.pubmed.com/, type in “microclustered water” or “water hexamer.” Then ask yourself what these doctors and scientists are studying. If there is no such thing as micro-clustered water, how can the effects or properties of it be researched? Here is one such study that mentions the six molecule microcluster.

Skeptic Quote:The minerals in the water are ionized, not the water. The term ionized water is meaningless.

 

Skeptic Quote: “Pure water actually cannot be electrolyzed and dissociated into ions to any appreciable degree, it’s not electrically conductive enough. You need to have a significant amount of minerals and impurities in order for it to be electrolyzed, which is why Kangen and its competitors also take your money for packets of mineral salt additives that you need to add to your water to make your machine do anything. To chemists, the term “ionized water” is meaningless."

 

Educated Truth: Kangen Water® devices do not use any additives to make alkaline drinking water. The natural electrolytes in water are enough to produce high quality alkaline drinking water in ranges from 8.5 to 9.5 pH. The only exception to this would be in the case of source being reverse osmosis (RO) water which removes the natural electrolytes such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium (we call reverse osmosis water “dead water”). If the source water is RO water, the minerals need to be put back in the water so the electrolysis can take place. The Enagic Kangen Water® device has the ability to replace these minerals if needed.

Consuming anti-oxidants does not slow aging.

 

Sceptic Quote:

“Although oxidation does contribute to some age-related diseases, consuming antioxidants does not affect normal aging.”

 

Educated Truth: We think the best source is your personal doctor. Please ask if anti-oxidants are good and will slow tissue decay and the effects of aging. Also, Dr. Horst Filtzer, vascular surgeon, F.A.C.S says “You simply cannot eat enough fruits and vegetables in a day to receive the same amount of anti-oxidant capacity that one gallon of Kangen Water® will provide.” Dr. Filtzer is a Harvard graduate & former department chair, Cambridge Hospital with active surgical practice for more than 35 years.

Skeptic Quote: Regulating body acidity is in no way affected by what you eat or drink. It is completely made up.“Your body’s acidity is not, in any way, affected by the pH of what you eat or drink. Nor has there ever been any plausible research that shows any connection between these diseases (obesity, osteoporosis, diabetes, high blood-pressure) and body acidity, this also appears to be completely made up. This is a classic case of using simplistic terminology to sell a product to the scientifically illiterate."

 

Educated Truth: When skeptics question Kangen Water’s® ability to change acidity levels in the body, they make an assumption we are talking about blood acidity. Your body has a mechanism in it that regulates your blood pH called the bicarbonate buffer system. Your body will keep your blood at or very near 7.385 pH. Your blood is water based and alkaline water may actually work with your buffer system instead of against it.

 

However, there are three other water based fluid systems in the body which make up the bulk of our fluids. They are the lymphatic, interstitial, and intercellular. All three are impacted greatly by the food and water we take in. Keeping these fluids more alkaline will retard illness and disease.

 

Please research Dr. Otto Warburg who won the Nobel Prize for showing that cancer thrives in anaerobic, or acidic, conditions. In other words, the main cause for cancer is acidity of the human body. Dr. Warburg said “nobody today can say that one does not know what cancer and its prime cause is. On the contrary, there is no disease whose prime cause is better known, so that today ignorance is no longer an excuse that one cannot do more about prevention.”

Skeptic Quote: 

The claim that alkaline ionized water detoxifies and cleanses better than other water is untrue.

 “Digestive enzymes neutralize the pH of whatever you eat by the time it gets to your bowels anyway, so it’s hard to imagine what science might possibly support a claim such as this.”

 

Educated Truth: We will just use one source for this since the source is at the top of his field. “Kangen Water® is alkaline rich water (pH 8.5-9.0) and is considered the very best drinking water because of its incomparable powers of hydration, detoxification, and anti-oxidation.” from the book “The Enzyme Factor” by Hiromi Shinya, MD, chief of Surgical Endoscopy Unit, Beth Israel Hospital. Dr.Shinya helped develop the colonoscopy and invented the procedure to remove polyps from the colon.

Skeptic Quote: 

The anti-bacterial water is a fraud. They add bleach to the water and call it anti-bacterial water.

“The fact is that some bacteria are affected by pH, and some are not. Most thrive in a particular range, but relatively few bacteria are affected by the small 1 or 2 point difference between tap water and water that has been treated with Kangen mineral salt additives. It could be argued that sellers are simply saying whatever they think their target market wants to hear.”

 

Educated Truth: There is so much wrong with the quote above, but we must give credit on the one correct thing said by this particular skeptic which is that the Enagic device does use a mineral salt solution to enhance the electrolysis process for the 2.5pH & 11.5pH only. It is not bleach like many claim.

 

What this skeptic does not know is the pH scale is logarithmic and a shift of a “small 1 or 2 point difference” is not small at all. For instance, 2.5 pH is 10,000 times more acidic than 3.5 pH.
